WATCH THIS VIDEO

Reason to clean objective lens

If the objective lens becomes dirty, it will interfere with optical fiber observation, causing errors and high connection loss. Cleaning to remove dirt is important for the correct recognition of optical fibers.

Timing or Frequency to clean objective lens

Recommended frequency to clean: One month “Depending on frequency of use”

Please clean objective lens, when…

  1. R-Too or L-Too Dusty Fiber error
  2. X or Y-Dark back Ground error
  3. -Too or L-Too Long Fiber error
  4. ZL or ZR Motor Overrun error
    L/R-Bad Fiber Position error
  5. Large Gap Offset or Large Cleave Angle error occurs or can not be inspected
When the “ gap difference ” can not be set

*Do not touch the removed electrode rod. In particular, be careful not to bend the tip of the electrode rod as it is an important part of fusing.

2. Wipe off any dirt on the two objective lenses with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol. Use new cotton swabs for cleaning the lens at each location and do not reuse them. At this time, wipe the optical fiber and the observation LED to clean it.
